Who We Are

The St. Frances Cabrini of Coram Conference is a local chapter of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, serving the Coram community through compassion, service, and respect for human dignity.

Rooted in the mission of the Catholic Church and inspired by the example of St. Vincent de Paul, our conference is made up of dedicated volunteers—called Vincentians—who respond to the needs of our neighbors during times of hardship. We believe that helping others is not only about meeting material needs, but also about offering hope, kindness, and a listening ear.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple: to serve Christ by serving those in need. We assist individuals and families in our local community by providing support such as food assistance, referrals to community resources, and limited financial help when possible. Every encounter is guided by compassion, confidentiality, and respect.

A Local Ministry with a Personal Touch

As a parish-based conference connected to Coram, we focus on helping neighbors close to home. We meet people where they are, recognizing that every situation is unique and every person deserves to be treated with dignity.

Our work is carried out quietly and personally—often through one-on-one interactions—so that those we serve feel supported rather than judged.

Who We Serve

We serve individuals and families facing temporary or ongoing challenges, including:

  • Food insecurity

  • Utility or basic household needs

  • Unexpected financial hardship

  • The need for guidance or connection to community resources

Who We Are as Volunteers

Our volunteers come from all walks of life—retirees, working adults, parents, and students—united by a shared commitment to service. No special training is required; just a caring heart and a willingness to help.

Living the Vincentian Spirit

We strive to live out the Vincentian values of service, humility, compassion, and solidarity. Through our work, we aim not only to provide assistance, but also to strengthen our community through acts of love and justice.

If you feel called to serve, we invite you to learn more about volunteering or supporting our conference. Together, we can make a difference—one neighbor at a time.
