The Music and the People Behind It
Northport’s own Steven Leonard Messina, a founding member of the critically acclaimed art-rock band Blow Up Hollywood, reunites with longtime friends and former bandmates Dave Eggar, Nik Chinboukas, and Thad DeBrock for an evening of atmospheric, immersive music.
They’ll be joined by Alyson Faith, Cole Fortier, Joe and Lyric Nicole DeJesu, Albert Messina, Natalie Seus, and Drew Mills for a special night of friendship, artistry, and collaboration.
The Inspiration Behind the Concert
As a volunteer with the St. Frances Cabrini Conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Steven saw firsthand how often the needs of struggling neighbors exceeded the resources available.
That experience inspired him to create A Concert in Gratitude, bringing musicians and the community together to turn an evening of music into meaningful help for neighbors facing difficult times.
